Do the work.
Get paid.
The customer’s money is already held before you finish the job. You are not chasing anyone, and you are not crossing town to price work you will never win.
Why this beats the usual way
The money is already there
By the time you finish a job, the customer has already paid and the money is being held. You are not chasing anybody at the end of the week. This is the whole reason Wrklo exists.
5%, and only when you are paid
No joining fee. No monthly fee. No charge for quoting. Wrklo only takes a share of work you finished and got paid for.
Jobs near you, not across Lagos
Jobs go to professionals close to the customer. You are not being sent to Ajah for a job in Ikeja.
Price after you have seen it
You give your price once you understand the job, not before. Nobody expects you to price a fault you have not seen.
Signing up takes four things
No certificates to dig out. No guarantor to call. No bank statement.
- 01
Your NIN
The same eleven digits on your slip. You type it once and Wrklo checks it against the government records.
- 02
A photo of your face, taken now
The app opens your front camera. Your photo is compared with the one the government has on file, which is how customers know you are a real person.
- 03
Your trade and where you work from
Pick from the list of trades. Your address decides which jobs reach you.
- 04
That is it. Jobs start arriving
Most people are approved within minutes because the check happens automatically. We do not ask for your bank details here. That comes later, the first time you send a price or open your wallet.
Straight answers
When exactly do I get my money?
The customer confirms the job and the money moves into your Wrklo wallet, minus the fee. If the customer goes quiet, the job closes on its own after the countdown shown in the app and you still get paid. From your wallet you send it to your bank.
What if the customer refuses to confirm work I actually did?
Raise a dispute. It is not only for customers. The money freezes, you add your photos and your side of the story, and someone at Wrklo decides based on what is on record.
Why must the bank account be in my own name?
It is the simplest way to stop stolen accounts and money being paid into somebody else’s name. We check the account name against the name on your ID.
A customer wants to pay me cash instead. Should I?
That is your call, but you lose the protection. Nothing is being held for you, and if they refuse to pay after the work there is no dispute to raise and nobody here who can help. Anyone asking you to take payment outside Wrklo can also be reported.
What if my verification does not go through?
The system never rejects you. A mistyped ID number is the usual cause, and the app tells you so you can correct it. Anything else goes to a real person at Wrklo, and you can contact support from inside the app while you wait.
The full fee breakdown, with a worked example, is on the pricing page.
25 trades. Yours is probably one of them.
Getting verified is free and usually takes minutes.
